Familia Editions, founded in 2018 by Brazilian editor and designer Maria Lago, is a project that interprets, creates and publishes the work of contemporary Brazilian artists. The artists’ books published by Familia are the result of a very close and personalized collaboration between publisher, artists and printers. Familia focuses not only on the curatorship and interpretation of the artists’ works, but also on the care of materials, final presentation and printing techniques, resulting in unique projects for each artist.
